Description

This is a set of photocopies of the original typescript for Harlan Ellison and Theodore Sturgeon’s 1969/70 short story “Runesmith” which appeared in the May 1970 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.

The first photocopy is 20 pages long, and labeled “first draft version” with an approximate word count of 5200 words.

The second photocopy is 27 pages long (plus the cover page), dated 1970 (rather than the first draft’s 1969) with an approximate word count of 6700 words.

We believe this photocopy was created and signed circa January 1989.

N.B. These were originally reference copies and have been stashed in a file cabinet for 30-odd years, so they exhibit evidence of human handling to a greater or lesser extent.

Includes $4 for shipping insurance.
